slideshare

Slideshare.net is like Youtube for Powerpoint. When I create a presentation and want the audience to have access to the content and/or share it, I’ll upload it to Slideshare.

It gets great SEO, shows up high in search results, and is excellent for reputation management. It’s all in the keywords you put into the deck description. It’s such a smart and useful tool that LinkedIn purchased it in 2012.

Try it, it’s as easy as uploading a photo. The best part is that you don’t even have to have given the presentation to an audience. You can use a pre-existing sales pitch or marketing materials and design a deck solely for online viewing.

I’m writing this today because I just received an email from them saying my presentation views have hit 10,000! Just for uploading handouts and slides! All I can think of is what great exposure it is for my name and content.

(It does a lot more like audio, pdfs, video, infographics, free and paid. Remember, I’m not paid to write about these tools, I’m just sharing with you what works for me.)
